Having a family member who served in the 464th BG, I’ve been blessed to hear history firsthand. My grandfather was a waistgunner on the B-24 Liberator “Little LuLu” during WWII. He never talked about it when I was younger. Maybe I wasn’t old enough, or maybe he thought that he was just doing his job to serve his country. With simply just asking him, he started sharing his stories with me. Researching information regarding missions, aircraft and crew members has connected me to so many people that I might otherwise have never met, not only from across the country, but around the world. This affirms that no matter who we are or where we are from, history brings us together. I created this site as a tribute to the brave men of the 464th Bombardment Group (H), but I hope that it also serves as a place that brings us together to share history with each other.
Thank you for visiting this website. Just like history itself, it is a work in progress. I encourage you to share anything that helps fill in the missing pieces, whether it be images, names, information, stories or even tributes. Please feel free to contact us at “info@464BG.com” to share your stories with us.
